A cookie is a small piece of data a site stores in your browser. Portal Trail Base also uses localStorage for the consent banner because that choice must survive a page turn without breaking navigation.
Essential cookies and storage. After you choose Accept or Reject, we save portaltrailbase_cookie_consent in localStorage. Purpose: remember the banner choice. Duration: until you clear site data. Provider: Portal Trail Base. The site remains readable if you reject optional analytics.
Analytics cookies. If you accept, we may enable a simple visit-count cookie later named portaltrailbase_metrics to understand which chronology pages are read. Purpose: aggregate page counts. Duration: up to 12 months. Provider: Portal Trail Base. If you reject, that cookie is not set. We do not currently require a third-party analytics pixel to use the pages.

Third-party cookies. Font requests to Google Fonts and image requests to public hosts may allow those networks to set their own cookies according to their policies. We do not read those cookies. Following an external link such as veve.me is outside this table.
How to disable cookies. Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and to clear localStorage for this domain. You can also press Reject on the banner. Disabling all storage may show the banner again on the next visit. Blocking image or font hosts may change how panels look but will not remove the written mint notes.
Impact of disabling. Rejecting optional analytics does not hide timelines, services, or contact details. Blocking essential localStorage only affects whether the banner reappears.
